HOW TO FULFILL YOUR PERSONAL PROPHECY

HOW TO FULFILL YOUR PERSONAL PROPHECY

PROPHECIES are words spoken to US directly by GOD or through his messengers. Every inspired word of GOD to US is prophecy.

STEPS TO FULFILLING PROPHECY:
1. ATTITUDE OF FAITH:
(a) Don't despise prophecy
(b) Prove prophecy.
(c) Hold fast the proven prophecy.
1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 KJV
Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

(d) Desire/Covet prophecy. (eagerly want something)
1 Corinthians 12:31 KJV
But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

1 Corinthians 14:1 KJV
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

1 Corinthians 14:39 KJV
Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

The Scriptural principles for the proper attitude toward the written word should be applied toward the spoken prophecy especially when it agrees with the will of GOD.

(e) Faith for prophecy.
Hebrews 11:6 KJV
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 4:2 KJV
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Hebrews 3:17-19 KJV
But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
What does it mean to believe? Don't consider anything contrary to what God says.
Romans 4:17-21 KJV
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Example of Jahaziel's prophecy to Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronic 20.

When a prophecy is received with an attitude of acceptance and faith, then the rhema that is heard will create faith for the fulfilling of the word.
Romans 10:17 KJV
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

(f) Obedience. The truth you have for the word will move you to obey, especially when their conditions attached.
James 4:17 KJV
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
Obedience of Noah: Gen 6.
Disobedience of Saul: 1 Sam 15:24.

(g) Patience:
Hebrews 6:12 KJV
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Isaiah 28:16 KJV (be part)
he that believeth shall not make haste.
Faith and patience are two important words you need to appropriate prophecies until they are fulfilled.
Personal prophecies are as precious pearls to be guided jealously.
When Jesus said not to cast pearls before swine, he was referring to the pharisees. He was telling us not to take something good given us and expose it to religious leaders who do not believe in personal prophecy today.

Psalms 27:14 KJV
Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord .

Psalms 37:7-11 KJV
Rest in the Lord , and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord , they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Isaiah 40:31 KJV
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Hebrews 10:35-36 KJV
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

(g) Humility/ Meekness and Submission:

James 1:21 KJV
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Even if the prophesy is inaccurate, the righteous and mature person will not respond with canal or childish behavior.
Deal with pride- see 2 kings 5 (Naaman)

2. RECORD READ AND MEDITATE:

1 Timothy 4:14-15 KJV
Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

importance of documentation:
Joshua 1:8 KJV
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Psalms 1:1-3 KJV
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psalms 39:3 KJV
My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,

Psalms 63:6 KJV
When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Isaiah 8:1 KJV
Moreover the Lord said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.

Jeremiah 36:2 KJV
Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

Ezekiel 3:1-3 KJV
Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll. And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

Habakkuk 2:2 KJV
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Revelation 2:1 KJV
Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

3. WITNESS TO YOUR PROPHECY:

Romans 8:16 KJV
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

4. WAR A GOOD WARFARE.

1 Timothy 1:18-19 KJV
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
Do more than meditate-also make a warfare
