Use pc inspector to retreive all lost data. Its a freeware. Search in google

cross scan time, start with the norton. malwarebytes is an anti-malware program, never heard of pc inspector in the av circles, then scan with atleast spybot sd, microsoft security essentials and one free av of your choice. i recommend one of the typical ones like avira and avast. you can try trial versions of kaspersky and nod32 if you want to. also trendmicro hijackthis for log.

also scans should be done in safe mode. And you are a bit unlucky because viruses that simply delete your files are rare these days. Most of then are some forms of spyware, adware and scam/scareware that usually benefit more from having the pc look and feel healthy.

or though i dont know as much as these guys it may not be a virus cuz according to em u cant get em on a phone yet i had an old nokia with a wap connection n the same happend to me the lot was gone, photos, wap settings n all sorts, i was on google at the time, so it may not be, maybe sum1 hacked u n reformated part of drive c.
