A bunch of modern aircraft are fitted with the kit and a few carriers mainly in the states have wifi on nearly all their flights. Wifi will be more and more common for flights within a few years. Its mainly the speed. If you want good speed then you can forget it for a while yet because most of the current systems only dish out a few megabits for the whole aircraft.
