Not to sure how fast it is yet , I mean there a aerodynamic brick so ya never gonna get past 130mph or want too . 60mph feels like what 240 mph must feel like in a veyron . The sence of speed is great , road legal slicks n no body roll mean it's like a go kart for the road . It leeps to 100mph in no time at all ... Then you slow down back to 60-70 because the winds blowing you out the window . But iv not put my foot down vs any other cars yet to get a real sence of its pace . But really feel the want for more bhp from it |

It's got a 1.6 Vauxhall 8v ohc , dead cheep n cheerful engine . It's had its head ported n polished by blydenstein and fast road cams fitted , got a power graph showing 130bhp ... Do you think there's any thing else that you could do to gain more bhp or would it be New engine swop ? |

Nice one bob. 130bhp shouldn't be too bad in a car that weighs only slightly more than fuck all. I had the chance to have a go in a Caterham R250 a couple of years ago but i'm too tall and couldn't fit in it. The modern factory spec models use 1.6l or 2.0l ford engines, the R650 uses a supercharged 2.0l ford duratec lump pushing out 310bhp, which makes 0-60 in under 3secs and kicks it up the arse all the way to 155mph. |

You could stick a Honda fireblade motorcycle engine in it.

I looked at bike engines but a expert said not ideal 10,000 rpm sounds great but because there not aerodynamic as you climb up the power band the resistance fights it . Torque is what's needed , low down grunt . Mite pay it off for a year or two then look into a 2lt cheep upgrade . Ford or Vauxhall Real good fun as is mind |

They are fun for track days. Popular upgrade engines are the 2 litre Ford Duratecs, like the one in the mk1 Focus ST170. Mainly because they are reliable, very cheap and easy to get hold of. Not massive tuning potential without going mad on supercharging or something, but a few minor tweaks can see them hit 190bhp comfortably. Obviously doesn't sound like a massive upgrade but it's typically like 320bhp/tonne all up- serious supercar performance. |

I'd love a go in one of them, saw an old fart powerdliding round the local roundabout in one near me
