is having all the teeth removed and to have full dentures fitted, you get false teeth. the accident you had was serious and your adult teeth were damaged, they have now lasted as long as possible and are starting to cause probelms with your health, you do not like the oral look you have, dead teeth starting to discolor, constant infections and teeth starting to break away. the main problem is those infections could, not saying they will, but could damage your heart valves, you have heart disease

and now have to look at either keep living with problems and the oral looks or you can have them all removed, dont forget a human bites with a 150lb force, with dentures that force is 10 to 15lb , so what would you do ? . pleas edont troll my post or me, be serious and put yourself into someone elses shoes.

It is true that it can harm your health, but be sure you can get dentures or dental implants so you can eat properly. BTW, missing as many as three teeth can also adversely affect your health.

I dunno. My friend had terrible problems with her teeth, had them all out when she was only in her early 30s, and has never regretted it. They look great, and she says she'd have done it years before if she'd known how easy it is.

thank you, this is the first time i spoke about it, got told mid this week its been playing on my mind so much, there is so much more to the prblem at hand, i hate hospitals and dentists/doctors bad experiances as a child overseas, and it may not be possible to be put fully under because of the heart medications you have to take 24/7 for life, toothache is nothing compared to the pain i was in having a heart attack, but at the same time i am always looking at extending my life. its a huge choice to make for me, its even harder talking about it to others face to face to

Maybe you could have just the worst of the teeth taken out and a partial denture fitted, to get you used to the idea gradually? Unless you wanna do it all in one fell swoop?

my same thoughts to madam.x but i think the dentist is looking more longer down the line, if some are already bad and there is bone loss , its possible the others will go quicker. i was warned when younger things could maybe be bad, but i never expected heart disease, teeth yeah loose a few but all of them is a worry, i have even tried to weight up the pro's and cons if i have all removed and have no dentures, crazy i know but all options i have to look at.

prattle it costs around 3 grand to have full dentures in , to have gold adds another 1k plus, then they need replacing after so long and reworked as your bone starts to slowly disolve, no teeth means the body starts to disolve the bone, the teeth act as stimulas to keep bone growth in the jaw and upper jaw. i cant afford the 5k for detures let alone a gold tooth

I reckon you'd better grit what teeth you have left, and go for it then. Its what my friend did. Just psyched herself up, persevered through the first couple of weeks, and hasn't looked back. Hers are so good that nobody except me and a couple of others know they're false. Even her fiance doesn't know. Weird! I would worry about ever being unconscious and someone whipping them out. lol

In a bad situation, you can choose the lesser of two evils. You get the choppers removed and continue to live a better life health wise with dentures, you may be upset over it from time to time, but you'll eventually adjust. The other is to keep your natural teeth, but it'll play on your mind what's happening to your heart over the years, and your health could degrade as will the quality of your life. At least with the dentures, you've a better chance of reaching an age where they're quite common.

i think i would have all the teeth removed, it seems to make more sense. why continue getting oral infections and risk the health of your heart, when you can just remove all the teeth and problem solved.

yes i imagine the emotional impact of losing all your teeth would be great and distressing, but i think the implications of keeping them are more serious than losing them.

and as you said, the teeth themselves are dead and look bad anyway.
