A New Zealand man was given an ultimatum by his Armenian wife to get rid of their baby or she would divorce him. Samuel's son, Leo, was born with down's syndrome which he only found out about once the child had been born. He decided to keep his son and a week later, his wife filed for divorce. What would you do in a situation like this? |

personally id put the kid up for adoption, not gonna be a popular answer i know but there we go. 1) im far too selfish to consider bring up a handicaped child, it would not be fair on them. 2) mrs T's sister had a severly handicapped child which she lovingly cared for 24/7 for 22 years and her sister is more than a little ![]() |

Sell baby online to purchase an old telephone box to drop on wife from a high building. She sounds like a delightful human being though, so understanding, tolerant and thoughtful.

But would you put the kid up for adoption because of the disability.. Or cos your wife told you to?

You create a human being. You live with the consequences of that decision, whatever they might be. Why burden someone else?

Better to put a baby up for adoption than pretend you've got what it takes to devote years of your life caring for him/her.

Personally I think raising a 'perfectly normal' kid is enough of a challenge. To someone who isn't and is never going to be a parent we (parents) all probably seem a bit mental.

Pummel her to death with red Lego bricks, dig a hole and fill it with coco pops and shimmy her inside then build a lego replication of the Taj Mahal.

apparently, in Armenia you can leave the baby at the hospital if you don't want it. wonder what happens to those poor, little unwanted souls when the mums' just walk out?

Fail to see the dilemma. Just a dad looking out for his boy.

@ poppers - 8.02.15 - 12:56pm Fail to see the dilemma. Just a dad looking out for his boy. I was going to say that. Because, for most people, there is no other option. |
