North Korea claims to conduct 'successful' hydrogen bomb test AP News SEOUL, South Korea North Korean officials claimed Wednesday that the reclusive nation had successfully tested a hydrogen bomb less than a month after the country's dictator boasted that the weapon had been developed. The announcement came hours after South Korean officials detected an artificial earthquake near North Korea's main nuclear test site, a strong indication that nuclear-armed Pyongyang had conducted its fourth atomic test. A confirmed test would mark another big step toward Pyongyang's goal of building a warhead that can be mounted on a missile capable of reaching the U.S. mainland. The U.S. Geological Survey measured the magnitude of the seismic activity at 5.1 on its website. An official from the Korea Metrological Administration, South Korea's weather agency, said it believed the earthquake was caused artificially based on their analysis of the seismic waves and that it originated 30 miles north of Kilju, the northeastern area where North Korea's main nuclear test site is located. The country conducted all three previous atomic detonations there. |

Truth to be told, NK is not a threat nor a serious concern for the US. I read that somewhere. So, nothing will happened here.

@ 4juice - 6.01.16 - 08:02am Truth to be told, NK is not a threat nor a serious concern for the US. I read that somewhere. So, nothing will happened here. But they are a real threat to our allies, mainly South Korea and Japan. Don't forget, they claim to have a middle that could possibly hit the US state of Alaska. |

They dont have a hydrogen bomb .It takes year of tests to perfect and understand how a fusion weaon works and even if they did have one they ddo not have the means to deliver it . At best they have a slightly more powerful atom bomb and nothing more

i want to know why it is the americans invade and occupy countries merely for suspecting they are building nuclear weapons, but do nothing when other countries are boasting they are testing them

@ greenaura - 6.01.16 - 01:34pm i want to know why it is the americans invade and occupy countries merely for suspecting they are building nuclear weapons, but do nothing when other countries are boasting they are testing them to be fair that's never happened but I get your general point. I think nk can't be intimidated like other nations because they have a HUGE army and trade with pretty much nobody. I'm sure if there was more chance of being able to overwhelm them there'd be a lot more sabre rattling, but unlike Iraq America already knows it wouldn't be like that from the first time around. |
