5.1 just tiny compared too what will happen by setting off a weapon so powerful next time they could open up a much bigger fault line underground creating a much bigger and deadly earthquake say anywhere upto 15 on the ricter scale that could not only wipe them off the map but also their country or any nearby. Do any of these countrys ave any active or dormant above or undersea volcano,s nearby.

@ usbcable - 6.01.16 - 08:11am The US needs to react to this. It's nuke or be nuked And North Korea is not asking U S to accept North Korea as a nuclear state because North Korea is already a nuclear state... |

They are years away from testing a true hydrogen bomb . The engineering needed to perfect and miniaturize a fission bomb needed for hydrogen fusion is way beyond what they can do .It took the united states 10 years and hundreds of tests to perfect the design and the first test device was as big as a house.

@ mok214 - 6.01.16 - 03:54am North Korea claims to conduct 'successful' hydrogen bomb test AP News SEOUL, South Korea North Korean officials claimed Wednesday that the reclusive nation had successfully tested a hydrogen bomb less than a month after the country's dictator boasted that the weapon had been developed. The announcement came hours after South Korean officials detected an artificial earthquake near North Korea's main nuclear test site, a strong indication that nuclear-armed Pyongyang had conducted its fourth atomic test. A confirmed test would mark another big step toward Pyongyang's goal of building a warhead that can be mounted on a missile capable of reaching the U.S. mainland. The U.S. Geological Survey measured the magnitude of the seismic activity at 5.1 on its website. An official from the Korea Metrological Administration, South Korea's weather agency, said it believed the earthquake was caused artificially based on their analysis of the seismic waves and that it originated 30 miles north of Kilju, the northeastern area where North Korea's main nuclear test site is located. The country conducted all three previous atomic detonations there. Congratulations to North Korea. They have every right to make nuclear bombs. When the states like USA ,who wants destruction of the whole world, can have such weapons then why not North Korea who only wants to defend his country..... |

Turns out the detected seismic activity wasn't caused by a nuke after all. It was actually just Fat Yung Kim falling out of bed.

When the states like USA ,who wants destruction of the whole world, can have such weapons then why not North Korea who only wants to defend his country..... it's a hard position to justify but make no mistake, it's nations where the rulers are nuts or zealots that others don't want with a viable nuclear program. any country whose leaders openly talk about the places they'd like to be bombing can hardly be considered as interested in their own defence and nothing more. |

I think now it's time to give North Korea a wake up call and let them know whose boss.
