I have manners, unless it's to customers. Then I'm just extremely passive aggressive

@ xgothika - 20.10.17 - 02:44am In Norway it's considered obligatory to shake hands The Polskis are terrible for it, they come into work and shake hands with each other, when they were working together just two days earlier. Like wtf are they doing it all the time for? Weirdos. I shake hands when i meet someone for the first time, then that's it i'm pretty much done. There are various levels the friendship can climb to, none of them require another handskake so casually. And i mean like if we seal a business deal. Or meet at a funeral. Or something. |

I'd prefer a fist bump, personally. In all situations

@ gt_tdi - 19.10.17 - 01:24am There's a theory that holding or opening doors for women is sexist, the implication being that you're too feeble to do it yourselves and need a big, strong man to do it for you. It's just courtesy, so people feeling the need to associate negativity with it is ridiculous. Shaking hands is quite an odd custom when you look at it objectively and strange that it's survived to the present day, given the origins. I do hate a limp, clammy handshake though - if you're going to do it, do it properly. My manners are impeccable, when they need to be. My dad once opened a door in a hotel for an American tourist. She said to him in an angry tone, Did you open it because I'm a lady. My dad replied, No I opened it because I'm a gentleman. Her face dropped and all her group smiled |

If I'm introduced to new people at work at meetings I shake hands with them regardless of gender ,I can't be doing with the 'nod' thing .... Or the air-kiss thing in social scenario...yeuch ... |
