ok, ive seen at least 3 topics in a short period of time about this Military repealing article 125 of the UCMJ. many think the US Military is trying to allow Beastality. This is not the case but internet rumors. You must look up the history and current events to understand what is really happening. Article 125 was written during a time of wide spread homophobia and the belief that sodomy and went hand and hand. this of course is my assumption based off popular beliefs. fact is though |

the two were written in the same article instead of separate articles. The US Govt recently lifted the ''dont ask dont tell'' rule of the military. So, to allow sexual rights between consenting adults this article has to be lifted. This is an attempt to give rights and equality. not about animals. it just so happends the ban on sodomy shared a article with beastality

Everyone is in favor of free speech. Hardly a day passes without its being extolled, but some people's idea of it is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage. - Winston Churchill

Section 134 of the UCMJ states: ''Acts in violation of a local civil law or a foreign law may be punished if they are of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces''...this means that if a service member breaks a civil or federal law they are to be punished. military personal are held by 3 laws, civil, federal and military. so, if is illegal in a state the act took place in, the service member thus broke the law and is held accountable for his/her actions.

when that bud gets on ill ask for the other law. as i saw him post about it in a now deleted post. also, the senate is or was supposed to pass a bill to replace the part of 125. so im guessing they would have taken out the sodomy part and left the animal part
