Heh. I broke a few right hand nails right before a classical guitar exam. Had to get extensions put on. The nail chick nearly couldn't bring herself to only do half a job. No the sound wasn't the same but i didn't have enough time to get used to it.

I tried falsies a million years ago too. Even araldite wouldn't keep them on when playing guitar!

some guys i know plays fingerpicking rythm stuff with their flesh.. i think they've built callus on their right hand by practicing that way.. and one of them sound waaay better than nail pickers..

I wont ask you to define waaay better. I'll just assume you're talking about electric or only rhythm. Don't get me wrong, it's doable for classical. Just not advisable for best tone unless called for specifically.

Im a self taught guitarist of 7yrs. But i learnt with a pick, and i honestly cant play without one :/ iv been tryin to finger pick for years, but i only use my thumb and index finger lol. Its hopeless. Maybe i should learn drums or the triangle instead? Hehe
