There's also cheap squiers and tokais for more classic models. As for lost.guy, try guitar pro, you'll input the sheet notes in and it'll shows it also as a tab, bit tricky at first tho.

Basicly just go to a store and look for guitars that are on your budget, test, test and test. Look for something that feels and sounds best for you. Try with amp and unplugged. Ask a friend who has bit of experience to help.

yeah, cant go wrong with a squier, duno if we have tokais here. ive got a cheap as* les paul knockoff i got from ebay for 167aud, bought a seymour duncan '59 zebra bridge bucker, grover machine heads, modified the wiring with a 'megabucker' push pull mod and replaced the cr*ppy tone pot capacitor with one i found in a smashed up radio for treble bleed. the axe now sounds unbelievable

i also took out the input jack plat from the bottom and installed a gold fender type one just below the bridge, though thats just personal preferance. i hate cable jutting out the bottom of my guitars
