@ birdy - 6.12.14 - 06:34pm Put more clothes on. Drink soup. Get in the bath. I tried this, this evening. It worked pretty well, until I got out the bath. Then I had a few problems removing the clothes without getting cold again. |

One thing you can do is get in a sleeping bag, take a hair dryer in with you, tie it up by the chord as tight as it'll go so it's kinda sealed, roll over so you squeeze all the air out of it, then turn the hair dryer on until it inflates the sleeping bag. Then there you are, cocooned in your own little hot capsule. |

@ jayna - 6.12.14 - 09:22pm It amazes me ow our ancesters coped in the ice age, no gas, electric, boots with treads on, no clothes, no lights jus a wood fire for cooking and keeping warm and lite and some animal furs to keep them warm. And we who ave electric, gas, lite at the flick of a switch, all kinds of clothes to keep warm, hot blankets, water bottles moan and old folk still die from the cold weather. Most of the thousands of deaths each winter are old folk , not keeping warm enough exacerbates medical conditions ... |
