You dont need jad if you are able to run jar... Jad is only needed to run signed apps.... And rar is not an application, its an archive file... Some java apps can open rar like mobileRAR...

Nope, not only for signed but also for unsigned apps jad file is used . Becoz some phones and softwares requires jad file to run. For example , usually jar games are given with jad file. 1 more example can be given if u install ovi browser it will show nothing but an animation. But it can run with signed or unsigned jad file.

Jad is a descriptor for jar, nothing else... You can use jad with any app or game, but its not too necessary.... Jar is enough for nokia's if you're not attempting a signed one....

JAD =Java application descriptor is known to all . Even a child know this. LOL . I think u don't know some software devlopers use some encrypted code in jad file without that particular jad file jar file does not work. But the jad file is not signed. Such encrypted codes does not have in MANIFEST . MF file. So without original jad file if u make jad file from jar using any other alternative jad make or online jad maker . The soft does not work.

So i hav just meant 2 say jad file is not used only for signed apps. Without encrypted jad file, any jar file can be used without jad file.

I dont know why u're making such serious arguments for a simple thing like this... If u have read my posts carefully, I have mentioned that most unsigned apps and games run perfectly well without jad in nokia... Dont try to teach me about the jad-jar encryption... These encrypted jars are very rare as well... Unfortunately I know a bit about java coding... But, I'm sure you know far more than me sir... :-(

I didn't get any jar yet which was needed jad file compulsory to be installed except signed apps. But noticed that some phones i.e. Samsung needed jad to download jar.

@ jupitar2 Do u think u r jack of all trades. Why don't u admit that u don't know. @arafat42 well, check this file http://bit.ly/mT3vew i hav given with jad file. If u see in jad file with any text editor,There u will see some encrypted security codes but the app is not signed. Make two copies of in two folder. In 1 folder only install jar file and in another folder rename both jad and jar.
