Smart lock by location is a feature on Samsung phones that will keep your phone unlocked in a designated place like your house but locked when you go somewhere else. Then you use the other security features like password or pattern or fingerprint etc.. This particular feature of Android phones has caused much controversy because for the past 5 years for most people it just wont work. And yet it's a great addition to any samsung phone that supports it. I couldn't get it to work at first but after much perseverance and scouring the internet I found a site that explains how to make it work. So rather than I waffle on I will give you all the website instead... |

I've not noticed it draining the battery but then again I use the power saving function most of the time.

@ 3mel - 23.07.18 - 10:22pm it works thru location/GPS to my understanding... fugg leaving that running just to have my phone unlocked at home. I don't think it runs all the time. Only for a second when you press the home button to turn on the display and unlock it. besides it even works with gps turned off and just using wifi. |
