Wow just done a search gee the possibilities for the causes are endless I thought there might be one straight forward solution that's why I asked here, ok guess I'll try and narrow down the options, thanks anyway

The physical machines in a LAN have a local IP. check machines/devices that are connected to router and reassign the IPs when needed. Start - Run - cmd.exe then type ipconfig and hit enter to see your ip information. (also you can right click local area connection and select status/properties) If you don't bring new machines in and out of your network i recommend restricting access though MAC-address filtering

easiest answer is to manually set your own ip address so that it doesnt conflict then
