It will not do any good to have a quad core unless the OS and apps are written to use all of the cores.

Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note, Galaxy S2, Htc One X, Htc One S, Sony Xperia S, Motorola RAZR MAXX, and Galaxy Nexus are the best Androids around, i'd say try them all and choose the one that suits you.

the choices for best mobile are the s3 and the HTC one x or the HTC one s, the s3 wins imo until the huwaei quad d arrives, rumoured to be shipping for around 3/5ths of the asking price of the s3 with specs to match, the have a great little mobile already in the g300 that only costs around 100 new and its an absolute cracker in the low priced end of the market
