just noticed when I tried to play a playlist in the default music player, it would say ''sorry the music player does not support this type of audio file'' on every track I tried. I tried albums next and now there are two entries of every track. the 1st gives the unsupported message and the 2nd plays normally. any1 know a fix for this ??? I9100 BTW on rooted stock ics 404.. |

making a backup of the error sounds futile. and you know all the benefits of being rooted, they don't just apply to custom roms. was hoping for something short of a reset.

the back up wont back up the errors!! i cant see the point of being rooted if its not for custom roms

@ silkcut - 17.10.12 - 04:16am if your running stock why have ya phone rooted? do a back up then a hard reset jus cos some apps require root access to work properly, my arc s was rooted on stock GB, n my Asus transformer is rooted on stock JB as well, custom Rom's jus don't appeal these days |

u r right, then use custom recovery, i dont remember if the built-in samsung recovery able to do system recovery backup, Xperia play doesnt even have recovery officially, so i root stock and then use custom CWM recovery to backup my stock GB rom.

This happened to me when i flashed stock 4.0.4 over my rooted 4.04 when unrooting my phone. A format in recovery mode sorted it out for me. Try to wipe cache in recovery, if that doesnt work just do format. |

hi guys, I didn't take any of your advice because I'm exceptionally lazy when it comes to reinstalling cr*p.. if I clear data for the music player will it reset it without wiping my songs? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but the wording when you select clear data for it is quite off putting. ''this apps data will be permanently deleted. this includes all files, settings, accounts and databases'' ??
