Getting heaps of sales doesn't mean it's a great phone LOL. Just like Toyota getting lots of sales compared to a Lamborghini Hahaha.

@ polo_011 - 10.12.13 - 09:49pm 'After the massive failures of HTC and LGs most recent high-end devices we now know that doing a huge, but not gigantic advertising push is not enough. These companies cannot afford Samsung-sized marketing spends. The only possible route to viability in the non-Sampple market now lies in the aggressive low-end strategy, which Nokia/Microsoft is now trying to execute. That requires a long period possibly years of selling budget phones at a loss until a volume base sufficient for profitability is reached. Which in turn requires piles of money of Microsoft magnitude to work if it ever will work. It now looks as though LG and HTC have nowhere to turn there is no way out of the box they now find themselves in.' oh dear. What massive failures has HTC and LG done? LG phones look pretty good, i'm sure the Nexus phones at least are as good as the latest Samsung Galaxy S phones. I reckon they have to be faster with updates tho, that's where Samsung wins. As abt HTC, i am going to go with their phones in the future. Had a Galaxy Ace and it was a pile of s**t, one failure of a phone it's enough to put you away from a brand. Now i have a HTC from the same generation and abt the same price when they appeared and it' |

same price when they appeared and it's incomparable superior to the Ace. If Samsung put a 4 inch screen they will use a 3 mp camera for the range of prices i can afford, while i saw HTCs with better specs...

maberry, both LG and HTC are losing money in mobile, for HTC thats a huge failure as mobile is their bread and butter much like it was for Nokia, and we all know how that tale ended. LG has had difficulties in both mobile and TV, luckily LG Display has Apple to depend on for some profit, but how much longer will Apple use LG? With suppliers like Samsung, Sharp, JDC etc... It's actually a frightening reality, we need ZTE, Huawei, Xiaomi etc... to come in and stop the Samsung+Apple domination as what we have now is pretty much a duopoly.
