was there a patch to stop it updating on it's own ? don't know if they still do that, they probably would. a pushed update will wipeout your root completely on kindles so you had to stop it updating or take it fully custom. |

Yeah I remember this phone, Amazon had built it with all sorts of sensors back in 2014 and it was meant to be their entry into the Smartphone industry but it was a huge failure in the end, got far less sales than even the most conservative estimates at the time. It was a lot like the Essential Phone now.
