do a search on YouTube under Gary explains or android authority, Gary Sims regularly does processor / SoC shootouts. from memory the Kirin is behind on all but a couple of benchmark tasks. the Exynos is usually slightly better than the Qualcomm equivalent test wise, and the Qualcomm is pretty much always ahead of the Kirin. |

A12 Bionic owns them all lol But yeah, the Kirins are great for power efficiency but are not the most powerful SoCs out there. The new 990 is now only bringing 4K 60FPS video recording |

Ta 3mel and yes it is rather geeky! ive heard the 990 will now feature in Huawei's new Mate X folding phone when it comes to market. It was gonna be the 980 again but it seems they have had a change of heart. Anyway it seems the old 9810 still does pretty well in 2019 providing you dont compare it with this years top dogs of course.

@ crail - 28.08.19 - 05:28am The thing that makes me straight is that I don't know the name of the processor in my phone it's more relevant to me when I keep my phones way longer. if I get an Exynos phone it will have much less life after official updates have stopped. |
