Am i right in sayin both front wheels would spin if stuck. I got a vectra 95 and only one wheel was spinnin from the marks. |

maybe, maybe not. One wheel will spin if it has less grip than the other. a55 ume you got stuck in snow? Just cos both wheels are on snow or mud doesn't mean they will both spin

there is no . thus the stuck wheel will not spin but the free one will spin madly.

Defo only one wheel will spin taking all the traction. Thats why 4x4s are so useful off road

Oh right. Thought it was the other way about lol. Just wondered why. Yeah parked the car and left it for a bit. When it was time to go out i couldnt lol just keep spinning lol

an open diff like this always applies the SAME amount of torque to both wheels, to the point up to where the wheels slipping. which in this case one wheel having no traction doesnt take a lot of torque applied to make it slip right? so that same slight amount of torque is applied to the stuck wheel, it simply isnt enough torque to turn it while the other spins pointlessly.
