so im going to be getting a new car hopefully within the next 3 months. at the moment im looking at an astra 1.8 cdti sri or a civic 1.8 type-s i-vtec. opinions pls. any alternatives? spending about 10grand but i need something that wont cost too much to run. cheers. |

All thing that you will find as don't cost too much is at the scr*p yard or a liter eater from fifteen years ago. Today vehicles are expensive as sperm of a nobel price winner.

I will have a look on ebay, been looking on Autotrader. Cheers. a.ochoa2, I meant I can afford the cars I mentioned above but, for example, I don't know if I would be able to afford to run the Astra VXR or Civic Type-R.

Mate, if gbp 10 k, get yourself a nice BMW cabriolet say 320 4 yrs old, with full service, cheap to run and a whole lot of car

Looked at BMW's but I think so far the Astra looks the best. Just seen today that you can get an EDS remap and it increases the BHP from 148 to 200 for only 400 quid and plus it gives you an extra 4-5 MPG. 45MPG average @ 200BHP

10k gets a lot these days. i was eyeing up not two days ago an S4. now that Is a lot of car for the money. preposterously fast and of course horrifically uneconomical lol
