Do you have some kind of registration document ? Look at the engine size on there.

There should be an engine number on the the V.I.N. plate and u could trace engine size thru that or ask previous owner

Dnt know myself crispen,but yours is def a m52b28 the 328i e36 all came with them.u get a aluminium block and cast iron block m52.i suggest u change your inlet to a m50,the m52 inlet is restrictive

Compared to the m50,it'll unlock some horses which ul feel especially at higher rpm
