I've got an accord and yesterday I thought I would floor it, was in second and changed just before limiter into 3rd, it went in ok but revs went down to 3k and were building very slowly. Went back to second and tried 3rd again which was hard to engage and when I did I found that it goes in diagonally towards 1st now and the slot to get it into has shrunk lol : |

could of smashed the blocker ring or even worse the selector arm, how is selection into other gears?

Inside the gearbox is dirt and sc*m so the synchronizer won't shift to 3rd to gear you need to clean inside the gearbox

I haven't floored it since and its okish at low revs, just going to take it eay til I get a new motor

looks like ur synchronizer rings r worn n the detent balls have lost there place!
