hi i just wanted to know if u get any performance gain if u take a 1300 motor and swop its head with a 1600 head?so the 1600 head would be on the 1300 bottom end!any gain? |

A Golf? Does it even fit properly? I would be surprised. The 1.6 was hardly any more powerful than the 1.3 to be honest. You would be better off ditching the engine for the Gti or just learning to polish the ports, lapping the head, valves polished etc and do a good rebuild on the existing engine with a few choice quality parts. It'll end up as fast as a 1.6 if you do it right with everything nice n tight.

lol thanks guys thought that wouldnt be the way to go.bt ya im going to replace my head with the same cc and put a powerflow system.it will have to be a show car lol
