I took my opel ascona in for the muf*ler to be replaced at kwikfit. They did not have a muf*ler for it, but said that they have a ford one that will work fine on the exhaust. The second day after been installed the back mounting broke off, took it back to them, and after bug*ering me around for half the day they finally repaired it. Now when I drive it, the steering wheel vibrates from idle and just vibrates more when I'm driving it. It's really unpleasant as the vibration tickles your hands a |

Kwikfit are useless amateurs. Why did you go to them again?? Find a good professional independent garage. They certainly won't be bodging Ford parts onto an Opel if they are half decent...

Then you got lucky. They scr*ped the wheels on my dad's car once and refused to pay for repair until I saw the manager and found a picture of the car taken a day before it went in luckily on my phone then they paid up because they definitely did it. Those wheels were and are perfect my dad is a good driver

@spartan, went back to them so that I did not have to pay again. I always give any place one chance to sort out any job they did wrong, except for auto electricians. Kwikfit is off my list now as I will never take any vehicle into them again for repairs on exhaust or shocks.

Still got the ford silencer on as speedy's said it will work fine. What do you think spartan? Bad idea? Or should I try get an opel silencer for it? Also got a bit of vibration in steering wheel and seat at idle now. Was having a problem with bad vibration at 2500 RPM, but it looks like my alternator pulley giving problems. And the actual alternator itself as I'm getting pulsating lights and the battery light flashing every so often. Speedy's said the exhaust not coming into contact with any
