I never pay attention to fuel formula claims, most of the differences are actually the detergents they use.

Brand new Focus RS made 272bhp on standard 95RON, 293bhp on 99RON. The fuel was flushed through several tanks before the changes and the car was slightly more economical on the better jungle juice too. Some performance vehicles may not even make their rated performance (like the RS) on standard fuel. |

Similar thing with varying gains on the MR2, M3 CSL, VX220. The more performance you started with on 95RON the more bhp was typically gained. Have to stress this is about performance engines.

acetone use gave me 20 better fuel economy. at 12 p per 3.5 gallons. well worth it.
