Which oil will give me maximum protection between 20w50 and 25w60 ? And is there any better than these? And between Castrol, Helix and Wynns- what is the best ever? |

I would like maximum protection on startup and maximum protection on far rides without the tapping sound so what do you recommend and does the tapping sound damage my engine?

it also depends on what type of car you have got, if its a small city car a 20w50 wud do, but a hi performance car requires a hi performance oil which is usually listed in the manual, but the oil i liked was valvoline or mobile 1,

The lower the 1st num the thinner the oil.The thinner the oil,the more synthetic it is.The mor synthetic a oil, that means its meant 4 higher performance motors.A 5w oil is ful synthetic an is meant 4 performance motors therefore it is nearly like water.15w oil is partialy synthetic an is meant 4 normal motors that hav a kick.20w is normal standard grade oil compatible 2 any engine.
