depends for a everyday runaround I will definitely go for a DSG type but for a fun track toy or Sunday car has to be manual

Manuals let go more easily. If your motor is worked beyond stockish specs then you will have problems. Auto will handle more work done to the motor before you need to do work to the box ( not much more mind you). Manuals are more fun but! Depends what the vehicle is used for

i was dead against autos for a long time but since i bought a auto mitsubishi 4x4 I've found they are excellent,you are never in the wrong gear, you don't put extra pressure on the clutch on hill starts ect, no changing up n down gears while in heavy traffic, its also no slouch off the mark either,0 to 60 in 10.2sec aint bad for a automatic 4x4 lol
