As another said. It sounds like some kind of neural trauma. Like after a stroke. Some parts of the brain lose connection or die from oxygen starvation and the person changes, sometimes drastically.

From my experience it happened to an Uncle. Mild stroke. But he. became much ruder after. Swearing all the time where he would never swear before. He was different until his death a few years later.

My dad had a stroke. He's still the rude, foul-mouthed man he always was Lost the use of his left arm though, but regained it a few years later after intensive physiotherapy.
