renting it atm. Has the premise to be so much more, being trapped in a digital world has boundless potential, but as much as I want it to live up to that we all know it will just end up a fun game for 10-20 hours if that then long forgotton. Reminds me of the old GTA's, as in more for younger/ a more stoned audience. GTA grew up into GTA 4, a movie style, where as Saints fills the gap it left. I just wish the performance was much much smoother.

After a couple more hours I am impressed with it. To start with it felt like the prequel with different tunes and different missions. But when you get all your powers it does become pretty much SR 3 crossed with Prototype, and there is some excellent grain film effect, as well as computer style false glitches which ironically kind of blend in somewhat with the real glitches and don't seem so out of place. Still laggy on consoles but sucks you in and is an interesting genre, superhero sandbox, a good fk about game.
