10 years was too long anyway, but actually the 360 came out in November 2005. The Wii didn't stay any longer than five years and it was released exactly a year after the Xbox360 in 2006. The Xbox One has been around since 2013, ironically it was released on November 22nd, 8 years to the day of the 360. But that's where the chain of resemblance stops, the first Xbox was released on November 15th, 2001 (just four years before the 360). The first Xbox had been discontinued well before the 360 was released, which actually says the 360 wasn't actually bad if the successor was released on it's eighth birthday and got to see another two and a half years.

@ kenb2321 - 26.04.16 - 04:17pm Didn't the ps2 go almost 13 years? Yeah it did about that. Though Sony had the experience to notice that consoles would be passed down to younger siblings when the older ones got the latest console. That's why ps3 had so many LBP games released towards the cycle end. The same happened with the ps2. Tho I think Microsoft dropped the original xbox too soon and would say if kinect wasn't such a failure they would have kept the 360 going a bit longer |
