Carmageddon only got released in the UK if it was zombies you ran over, the Indian version had to have the cows removed lol, and theGerman version wasn't allowed. The Germans also like to take stuff out of games or they wouldn't release them...

The NES was turned into a side loader because the FAMCOM looked too much fisherprice according to the US market researchers. A bit like the reason the original Xbox was so bulky and the controller was huge, the controller was made smaller for Japan and seemed every1 preferred the Japanese controller so it was made standard.
