Last time I was sat in front of a laptop, I couldn't even work out how to switch it on, never mind the rest.

@ peta - 13.03.24 - 03:17am Are you seeing this tiny comment on big screen on your wall then? Jesus. Yes I mean it's the monitor, so i just have a big screen further away instead of a little screen up close. |

Tablets are good for casual browsing and killing time. Not for any serious business. If you use screen mirroring then why not just use your phone? Samsung dex is pretty cool for a bt mouse and keyboard. I cant see a tablet having any advantage at all. A phone fits in your pocket. If you have a ton of video files just use a usb c external drive with it. Laptops are good for work and specialized tinkering. Like doing car diagnostics or flashing a phone etc. For tech savvy ppl a laptop with linux or windows will go ways further. Writing on a laptop beats a tablet any time if it has a decent keyboard. If the goal is to use with a big screen at home and take advantage of full power without any mobile limits then a desktop pc wins by far. Nothing beats a full blown system with big cooling and power supply. That is of course for gaming or rendering work not for casual browsing. |

The smart tv apps are good enough for netflix and youtube. With a small bt keyboard it is easy to search stuff also. I have a pc hooked to my tv and still use its own netflix and video player. Like how convenient it is to just use the remote for these things. Screen mirroring is good for showing pictures to ppl on a large screen.

@ 1clivey1 - 13.03.24 - 12:05pm Ipad pro loads memory Depends what memory you are talking about. 8gb of ram might be good on ios but the internal storage goes up to 512gb if im not mistaken. That is not that much considering phones are hitting 1tb already. Certain files can fill it up quick. Then you have to use external storage anyway. |

I can use my switch (games and youtube) and 2ds xl (games and some websites) for hours without any problems. But in front of a laptop i get woozy within one hour.

For me the screen size and the ppi mess it up. Even if you scale up the text the video still makes focus too hard wearing out the eyes. Phones do this alot better because windows sucks at it. Its a different thing on a decent sized monitor tho. |

@ ogdenz - 13.03.24 - 09:06am Good question..I think I only want one because I don't have one tbh. I can't think of anything I would do on a laptop that I can't and don't do on my tablet. Meh,I want one but don't need one. Eh, well you can pass up on it. Honestly, youll end up neglecting it much like Ive neglected my MacBook Pro. My daily work activities I do on a Dell and everything I look up or read is on my phone. So itll be weeks, maybe even months before I go back to my Mac. Unless, again like me- give the one away that you dont use anymore. My lil brother is looking type happy right now. Hes about to get mind. But then youre prob attached to the tablet so you cant give it away in case you realize late that all you really want is a tablet. Tough one, I tell ya. |
