Yeah, apparently this particular example won't work if you're red/green colourblind. Although the McCollough effect can be induced using a variety of different colours and patterns.

This is the Wikipedia page on the McCollough effect. According to that there is also something called the anti-McCollough effect.

That one is long lasting so not trying, some colours seem to blend in together especially playing games and I'd be no good doing multiplayer cause I just shoot everything
