So when does the great news come?

Everyone who pre-ordered it got that. Apparently its just to act as a reassurance to the fact that you will get it eventually and must not open contracts with other networks.

LOL! People are going to have heart attacks when Voda release the pricing! In India Voda did the same, when the pricing was announced the iPhone3G suffered a 80percent cancellation of orders. Lol! It turned out to be more expensive than a NOKIA N96 which was launchd a few days b4 in India. Now the N96 wil prob be around R8000 here can u imagine the iPhone? on a Talk500 youl hav to pay in.

Thats what a Voda consultant told me at Vodashop. I advise you guys to not be too excited. Must say Steve Jobs does a great job in fooling people.

Polo I read somewhere that vodacom will be forced to sell it for under a certain price(less than R4000) on pay as u go,but on contract they can make up their own price for it.Thats one of the conditions if a network wants to get the iphone on their networks.Dont know if its true btw,but it makes kinda sence.Btw do u know if u import a iphone 3g from the US,will it work on our networks,or must u still jailbreak it first?

And i guess we will soon be able to get the iphone from shops like incredible connection, igear, etc and they know that they wont sell the phone if customers can get it for much cheaper if the import it from overseas.

that wont stop them, u can buy anything cheaper over seas, everything here is more xpensive

Yes I know, thats why i said if the iphone overseas is A LOT cheaper, then we will rather import it.I think they will push the price up on the same scale they push the price of the ipod video and ipod touch up,which are about R1500 per product.Correct me if im wrong though, havent looked at the most recent prices.
