Anybody here could explain how i can unlock my iphone. actually a friend of mine gifted me but it has country code on it and operator is o2.any help would be appreciated |

I think you need to phone your network customer support and ask for your phone to be unlocked. There may be a fee but after they will give you the code. Follow the instructions exactly when you get it.

If you have proof of its purchase then take the the phone to a shop and ask them to unlock it

Don't think taking it to a shop in Pakistan would help. If you have the receipt then call Apple directly.

I would like to share my experience here . I use Remote unlocking method to unlock my iPhone 4s from carrier lock . I got it from the provider http://www.superunlockcodes.com/apple-iphone-4s/rs16wp9/ to unlock it .
