I have 6.1.3 i just got a msg saing new carrier software update and when i did it it took my 3g away and put LTE so i just want to know if i want to wifi do i have to switch it on ciz when i had 3g setting i switched it on and i use wifi and didnt pay but now when i want to use lte i HAVE to switch My data on to get the lte option.Will i pay for internet while i just someone else's wifi?or how does it work |

Leave your wifi connection on.When you're ATT home or in a free wifi area,your phone will connect.Once you have left the phone will use your the 4g signal

If you don't have 4G then there's no point in keeping LTE turned on. It will only reduce the battery life. As far as wifi goes, just keep using it the way you used to.

Thankyou,well the way i used to was switching my 3g on so i can get connected to wifi but now i dont have that setting anymore coz i only have the lte setting but looks like if i want to connect to wifi now i have to switch my data on and i hope it wont use my own phone's data

3G and Wifi are 2 completely different technology. There's no way u could have turned 3G on to connect to Wifi. By wifi if u mean Internet then yes you need to have the Mobile Data option turned on.
