Go play your vinyl through any half decent record player and see if your opinion stays the same. Linn did the pepsi challenge a few years back and ended up with egg on their faces with the results

Their best CD player cost about 3 times as much as their best record player but when they did the A-B test almost everyone preferred the record player.

It doesnt matter if u got a lynn or a rega, vinal is flatter sounding compared to high quality cd,even most speakers didnt have such a large frequency response during vinal era, speakers have a larger dynamic range now to enhance the latest recording technology..sum ppl may prefer vinal, but it doesnt mean it has a larger dynamic range than cd.

The human ear can differentiate down to 18 bits of information, CD is a 16 bit format due to the era it was concieved and the technology available at the time, oh and lets not forget that CD is frequency limited to 22KHz too. Why do CD players incorporate an error correction system during the information retrieval process?

Vinyl sounds better in my opinion

cd uses analogue to digital conversion, which looses a fair amount of information when encoding. And vinyl sounds so much richer and warmer than a cd ever will. I'm a dj/producer and even through my original cheapo deck, vinyl still sounds way better than cd!
