Im a big Jimi fan,love the guys music!..which got me thinking,do you have any genuine criticism of Hendrix's music,songwriting or even his guitar playing? ..its ok saying you dnt like his music..lots of people dont..but what are your specific reasons? |

Well i think he certainly played with a unique and forward thinking style in his time but i think he may be overrated when often referred to as the greatest guitarist of all time-there are many other just as worthy guitarists who could claim that title

I would call him a genius at making riffs, but I think his status was elevated to an extreme because of his death, typical Heath Leger type case.

Martyrdom in death is certainly popular in music...Kurt Cobain never deserved the ridiculous amount of attention he constantly receives,Nirvana was the least interesting of the grunge groups,but death seems to get everyone throwing words like ''genius'' around alot easier
