Tsk - the youth of today.. valves are the technology we used to use before transistors came in, they were used in radios, tellys and hi-fi (they look like little fridge lightbulbs). Many people swear by valve amps as they sound 'warmer' and 'more lifellike' than transistor amps and are still produced by high-end manufacturers.

I had a guitar amp that used valves, and they have such a rich sound. Valve amps of any kind normally cost a bit more tho

Could try a Trends Ta10 tripath amp if u dnt need volume, but quality as its 10watts rms, only 120quid tho,and u can tweak them to sound even better..if your mordants r 88db sensitivity or higher. Plus u can also bypass the pre amp stage ,so its just a power amp.

Garbage In, Garbage Out. If you partnered a cr*p cd player with a couple of Audio Note Ongaku power amps (a mere 130 thousand of your Earth pounds) you'd still get cr*p sound.
