yes crail iv read the whole thread on maemo.org before posting the news, what happens is the copper pads that sit on the main PCB rip free and there is no way to repair it as it pulls some of the main board off with it, its a design flaw as the usb is only held in place by the pads that are glued onto the board, then the usb is sodered to the pads

wtf!! Nokia need to get sent to court.im sorry but im a nokia fan boy but this is wrong! They can say user error all they like but when u get evidence of other ppl with same prob its a diff story, its just like the xbox 360 saga.

Im glad ive not got an n900 after all. I will probably not buy another nokia phone as i think they are now the most arrogant incompetent bunch of numptys with the worst customer service ive ever experienced.

wow, devastating. Here i wanted a N900, but im not interested anymore. If it only charges via usb, u screwed. And its not cheap to say the least.
