OpenMobile's ACL or Application Compatibility Layer leverages both the runtime environment and the Dalvik Virtual Machine used by Android to allow support for 100 of the Android Markets apps. |

This is great for Android devs, and the Android OS as now Meego devs can use one platform to create apps and if Nokia totaly drop Meego they have Android, this is going to be awesome hope the BB QNX devices go the same way, we are going to have a huge wave of Android capable phones, i see now what Google are doing.

Since the initial launch in Singapore in June availability has grown from 23 countries to 56 countries officially, we expect it to be available here by october. even some sites are taking pre orders for 32k which makes it as expensive as gs2. but they havent mentioned wether it is for 64GB black version or 16GB version.

The only letdown for Meego was app support and that is sorted. Now android apps can run on N9, via Alien Dalvik, only minimum repackaging of the original Android app is required, and any further tweaking that may be necessary for 100 percent compatibility can be done via the Android SDK.

wow this fones so good nokia could only fail again to makes its potential properly known to the public. tbf nokia wont be making any noise over this more like keeping it quiet as it highlights a rival of theirs.
