mate dont hang about email that your not happy and that a contract is a contract mention the trades discriptions act etc and send them a dated screen capture showing there still advertising it at that price. other stores are obliged to sell you goods at the price they've put up even if its a mistake and they do. i got a quality kitchen knife for something like 3.99 because i complained at the tills wen it said 8 quid.

I know with the Consumer Protection Act here in SA if this happens and a consumer buys the product the dealer has to sell to them at the price the customer found it at. Dont knw if its like that in the UK to

@ dtwillia - 23.01.12 - 09:56pm you're wrong, just face it petal How is he wrong? It's happened to me in quite a few shops or stores, no matter what the item is. If they have it up at a price and you actually complain about it, usually something gets sorted. If you stand there like a complete nonce, they'll quite happily take the cash you didn't think you were going to be paying. |

in jobs I've had a company is not allowed to advertise a product at one price and then ask for a different one, and in doing so there in breach of either the the trades discriptions act or the sale of goods act or something to that effect. if you reread the post writers posts the key point I'm drawing attention to is that they are still advertising the incorrect price. the word obliged is the wrong word perhaps but in my experience giving the item at the advertised price is usually the coarse

they take rather than risk p*ssing you off to the point where you might complain.
