hello and welcome, atm i'm reading 'The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch' by Philip K d*ck - In the overcrowded world and cramped space colonies of the late 21st century, the wretchedness of life is endured through the use of Can-D, a drug that allows the user to inhabit a shared illusory world.. |

But when the renegade industrialist Palmer Eldritch returns from an interstellar trip, he brings with him a new drug, Chew-Z, which offers a far more addictive experience than Can-D. But could the permanent state of drugged illusion it induces be part of something much more sinister?

i started reading this and it is brilliant, there is this sense of menace familiar to his work. you are immersed in this world from the start and his style makes it believable. as always his realism and fantasy merge together to draw you in further and further.

he also wrote A Scanner Darkly, Minority Report, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (became Bladerunner) and many others. heard they may turn this one into a movie too, would be good if they do it in the same style as A Scanner Darkly.
