Courts in Western Australia and Victoria can already order chemical castration as part of release conditions. And in New South Wales, offenders can volunteer for the treatment which involves taking tablets that suppress testosterone. Chemical castration is already mandatory for convicted paedophiles in nine US states and other countries including Poland, Macedonia, South Korea, Moldova and Russia. Other nations such as Denmark and Sweden already offer sex offenders drugs intended to control sexual urges on a voluntary basis. |

Well,if it stops physical abuse by 40 percent ...good ,but it doesn't address the desire for sickening images ,I wonder if they've taken that into account in their percentages

I think it depends on the drive or motive of the offender. People who commit crimes of sexual nature through drug , alcohol, choice and plain no conscience, revenge, etc I don't think will benefit from it. The ones who will benefit from this are those who's sexual drives motivated crimes. Like paedophiles, coercive sex, power/dominating etc.
