So my 30th bday came and this particular friend gave me a necklace which was supposed to be significant of my milestone. Nothing romantic, well definitely not on my part. Then one day suddenly starts being cold to you, no explanation, nothing. And I've boggled my mind about what I could have done but nothing. Now they've just been ignoring you in common areas and pretend that nothing is wrong so others might not ask. One day I got a text saying they're mad at me, but decided to keep thoughts to self after I said I can't do the drama. Even unfollowed me on Insta. That I thought was a bit petty and spoke volumes. I've always had this person as being mature, intelligent and articulate, but now it's all questionable. Now this necklace, I'm thinking of returning it- it no longer has any meaning or value to me because the giver is acting strange. Would it be petty to give it back? I honestly don't feel comfortable keeping it, let alone wearing it now. What would you do? |

I'd give it back, are they angry because you didn't wear it maybe? Give it back but thank them for it etc and leave it at that.

Ask them what the problem is? You said it's a friend so ask them. I would. I think would be insulting to give a gift back to them.

I did wear it, I actually like it, it's really pretty..but if it has no value then I don't want it, not when ppl are acting strange.

Is it pretty? Will it go with my sparkling blue eyes? I have nothing of value to contribute to this conversation so I'm going to leave. Hope it all works out

Maybe them giving the necklace to you didn't result in the sexual union the necklace giver had assumed would be forthcoming upon your receiving it?..which is of course very selfish of you!

I'd want to know why they were being that way first.
