It's scareware from scammers that run ad campaigns and use java exploits via the ad to create the fake virus dialog, prompting people to download an app which is the actual malware. The ad itself is harmless as long as you don't follow its instructions, it's a pain I know. The only means of preventing it is disabling java or using effective adblocking apps, often requiring a rooted device. Admins can't do shit about it, it's down to the owner to change what kind of adverts are hosted and from which vendor. |

When i get this i just close my browser (usually clear all in the current apps page) and re-open chrome. Takes just a couple of seconds. I previously just kept pressing back button until it backed out of it, or grabbing bookmarks button quick whilst doing so, but it's just easier to close and re-open chrome. Doesn't happen often. Maybe once a week on here, the only other site i get it on is Photobucket and that's more of the time - but Photobucket is absolutely riddled with shyte, owner's ruined it by selling it out, you kinda expect a battle to do anything on there anyway. |

also sometimes you can get to close the browser by holding down escape and using the cursor and putting it on the top right hand side x thats on a pc though i get it all the time when i go to watch football online for free, as for a phone has only happened a couple of times and i just turned the phone off and on and it went, there is a version of malwarebytes for mobile phones aswell though.
