@ birdy - 13.12.17 - 09:21am Yeah I won't be putting my children on the register. That's a decision they can make themselves. A decision to make when they are dead? Do you ask a 4yo what they want to happen to their bodies when they die? Well I suppose you could. My kids love helping people so I imagine, if I told them how they could save a life, or if they want to just take their dead organs into the ground with the rest of them, they'd probably say save a life. Bit morbid to want to talk about that with a 4yo though, but if you as a parent think your kids should make that choice, then that's up to you. |

@ nomnom - 13.12.17 - 09:21am No, it's a fact. There's a list of what they actually take but it's literally just a few organs not an entire body. |

That's nice nom. lol No I didn't ask my 4 year olds that. I had no plan to donate their organs had anything happened to them. |

@ birdy - 13.12.17 - 09:26am That's nice nom. lol No I didn't ask my 4 year olds that. I had no plan to donate their organs had anything happened to them. Then how are you making it their decision? Sounds like you made it for them. |

See, not a whole body. You can pick and choose which organs you are happy to donate.
The list is bigger than it used to be, has changed since I last seen it. |

@ nomnom - 13.12.17 - 09:27am Then how are you making it their decision? Sounds like you made it for them. They can decide now, they know what they're agreeing to. I didn't have to opt out, so no I didn't do sh*t. |
||
@birdy | 13 December 17 | |
Not sure why you're going on about the whole body thing. I'm on the register, I'm aware of what can be donated.

@ birdy - 13.12.17 - 09:29am They can decide now, they know what they're agreeing to. I didn't have to opt out, so no I didn't do sh*t. If you lived here you would be asked when they are newborns. That's just how it works. Someone has to make the decision and if a child dies then the parent has say over it |
